Founded in 2021 in Berlin as a non-governmental, not-for-profit association, Forensis works for and in collaboration with individuals and communities affected by state and corporate violence, to support their demands for justice, reparations, and accountability. The interdisciplinary team of researchers has expertise in spatial and visual investigation, time-based 3D reconstruction, cartographic platforms, and open source investigation. They produce evidence for presentation in national and international courts, human rights forums, parliamentary inquiries, truth commissions and people’s tribunals.
Ashkan Cheheltan is an architect, computational designer and researcher. His research investigates how tacit knowledge and intrinsic methodologies of architects and designers could be applied to other disciplines, creating experimental hybrid practices. His work operates at the intersection between art, architecture, technology and humanities.e 2019 she has been a professor at the Münster University of Applied Sciences, where she holds a chair in Architectural Design.
